Beard Care Between Barber Visits: The Ritz Routine
A two-minute home routine that keeps the lines your barber set looking deliberate between visits.
A great beard is built in the chair but kept at home. Between visits, a simple routine keeps your barber's lines looking intentional instead of accidental.
Wash less, soften more
Wash your beard two to three times a week — daily washing strips the natural oils that keep it soft. While it is still damp, work a few drops of beard oil through to the skin underneath.
Brush it into shape
A boar-bristle brush trains the growth direction, distributes oil and exfoliates the skin under the beard. Thirty seconds a day, always brushing down and out from the cheeks.
Do not touch the lines
The cheek and neck lines are your barber's work — trimming them yourself is how beards get reset. If the edges blur before your next visit, book a quick beard line-up instead of reaching for the razor.
When to come back
Every two to four weeks for most beards. Your barber will read your growth pattern and tell you the rhythm it needs — that is what the consultation is for. Book on Squire and keep the shape.
